Bharatanatyam is Indian classical dance form  originated in tamilnadu . Intial days of this dance form name was Dassiyattam . This dance is carrying from generation to generation. Tamil people call dance teacher as Nattuwanars, Temple dancer called by Devadasis.

The training traditionally took around seven year under the guidance of Nattuwanars who were scholars and person of great learning.

During performance of Bharatanatyam mainly Mridangam , Violin , Veena , Flute playing for musical background .
The Famous artist of this dance Balasarawati , C.V.Chandrasekhar , Rukmini Devi , Mallika Sarabhai and many more.
