Padma Shri "  Mango 🥭 Man of INDIA"

“My goal has always been to spread a bit of sweetness in the world. And what better way to do so than with mangoes!” This is not a simple collection of words which make a complete sentence.
This is dedication and motivation of our Padma Shri Awardi "Mango Man" ""Kalim Ullah Khan"". Mr. Khan from Malihabad of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Khan is world famous personality in the world due to contribution in horticulture. He was school dropout after failed in class 7th. After tha he was joined his family profession and dedicated himself to his orchard of mango.

You are hardly aware about max to max 10 or 20 variety of mango, but Mr. Khan devloped 1600 variety of mango in his orchard. Most amazing thing about Khan is that
he was expert in asexual propagation techniques knows as grafting without any formal education. He was started his journey from developing 7 variety of mango to 300 variety of mango in single tree.

Grafting involves joining two plant tissues to aid their growth together as a new plant. The scion (stems, leaves, flowers, or fruits) or the upper part of variety A is joined with the stock, the lower part of variety B to create a hybrid based on their characteristics.
In the life of 80 years, he got more than 400 awards from various countries. He got 4th most prestigious award of India , "Padm shri" in 2008. His name are mentioned in "limka book of record". He said that many countries try to invite for research on the basis of money but they refused their proposal because they loved india and don't want go away from his own country for money.

“I dedicate my mangoes to people who I feel are doing amazing work in their respective fields. It is my way of appreciating their positive impact on the world and immortalising it through the mangoes,” it is unique way of appreciation by Mr. Khan. He was named his mango on Aishwarya, sachin, Kalam, Bacchan, Namo, Yogi Aditya nath, Amit shah, Azam Khan, anarkali, Madhubala etc.
In the situation of covid 19 he named his mango "doctor aam " and "police aam" dedicate to corona fighters.

Mr. Khan feel unhappy and said, "his own country not use his knowledge of developing new variety of mango and said that research centre are not available for ground scientists like me. Research centre are not do prper research and only consume money of people and researchers have not any practical experience ".

**The story of Mr. Khan tells us not only formal education give knowledge and expertise in any field. It can be achieved by self learning also by dedicated efforts."
