Khetify - A terrace farm develop by Iit-graduate





Everyone is moving towards an urbanization and most of the people think farming is not a such profitable work, we always getting news of committing suicides by poor farmers.

In indians, young children moving towards a city for education and jobs. Try to find a job in multinational companies.

But this story is unique two students of IIT Kharagpur Kaustubh khare & Sahil Parekh after completing a graduation come to Delhi for work as everyone, one of them join a young India fellowship program. Both are working for given field smart cities. Where land field used to produce so many vegetable, click in the mind that these contain so many harmful chemicals, this is not safe for society.


After some research they grew vegetables on terraces, first problem that water leakage when directly use traces floor, so they make a container and use jackpot which less water and also quanty of soil is need for plantation. They also make a drip irrigation system.

In 2016, they use 300 sq feet area for grow a vegetable and perform an experiment. Finally in the end-of-year they get 37 kg of vegetables. at they easy grow 700- 800 kg of vegetables yearly.

Now, khetify - Urban farming venture come in existence and started contribute in the development of urban smart cities. They install a "khet" on terraces, balcony and other open space in the house.

They say this achieve by awareness and obersation of society needs, khetify make a people self dependent for their food.
