During COVID-19 pandemic, raising of awareness among the people about healthcare. if we taking care of our nutrition & health then organic food is a good option because under organic productivity it contains either no or fewer pesticides. while in the case of conventional productivity there is the use of chemical fertilizers & pesticides. in organic grown will be done with natural fertilizers (Manure repost). thus, it boosting immunity by taking a healthy diet and prevent various diseases.
According to National pesticides, information centers at Orgeon states University, the pesticides used in conventional farming are more sensitive to the toxic effects for infants, children, and pregnant women.
Organic farming is also good for the environment because it reduces soil erosion, increases soil fertility, conserves water.
As per the results of European study 2016, Nutrients are richer in Organic meat & milk than in conventionally
In India, challenges for organic food production is-
Due to the overutilization of chemicals and pesticides in lands, there is a decline in soil quality. then, for promoting the organic productivity reconditioning of the soil is required also, seeds from crops have not been contaminated.
Another problem is Organic food is costlier than Non-Organic food.
According to The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) was established by the Government of India "The total volume of export during 2017-18 was 4.58 lakh MT. The organic food export realization was around INR 3453.48 crore (515.44 million USD). Organic products are exported to the USA, European Union, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, Israel, South Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, Japan, etc".
According to the accessible insights, India's position regarding World's Organic Agricultural land was ninth (9th), and as far as the total number of producers was first (1st) according to 2018 information (Source: FIBL and IFOAM Year Book 2018).
