INDIAN Engineer developed a Milk Chilling Unit, Wins USD 25,000 from BRICS!

Ravi Prakash, an Indian Ph.D. researcher from Bihar has won the USD 25,000 BRICS-Young Innovator Prize for Design a moderate milk chilling unit for dairy farmers.

Basic idea about innovation

After the white revolution in India become the largest producer of milk and milk products.
But lots of India farmers facing a problem of refrigeration of milk

Due to the poor mechanism of refrigeration system Indian dairy farmers facing economic loss in the business.

Ravi comes with a solution , the product can be utilized for chilling milk from the purpose of creation by cutting down the temperature of milk from 37C to 7C inside 30 minutes utilizing nano-liquid based stage change materials. This project takes 3 years of countries hard work to complete

Currently, at the prototype phase, his cooling pail device received the first prize worth $25,000 at the 4th BRICS Young Scientist Forum (YSF) held in November 2019 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Ravi is a Ph.D. scholar from ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Bengaluru. He grew up in a small village called Harari.

Being the son of a farmer, Ravi would often visit his green luscious fields before he moved to Karnala for his Bachelors in Technology.

Ravi observed:

He observed that dairy farmer collect the in collection center and send to the chilling unit, but this process is very expensive and time-consuming for the farmer , especially in the summer season farmer going through heavy wastage of milk. Ravi is also belonging to farmers family so he easily understands the root cause of farmer conditions, this milk chilling unit is playing a vital role in developing countries.
